As Such

Posted in poetry on December 12, 2009 by 1markt

Oh, to try and touch

The sentiment or emotion which seems to say much.

Like, why the stumbles and disappointments of life’s weary path;

Leaves you forgotten and what you were once, now only half.

Like why every step forward is plaqued by unbridled flaws, that bring the consequence of two steps back.

And criticism brings no need to put morals on the  sodden track.

Why? the world seems to leave the present with no optimistic view.

Or why there’s no need to love me the way that I have loved you.

To finger the disillusionment on which is based your pride.

Overlooking the real you, the real you to which you can not confide,

That the real you, is not you, and that is the you, you must hide.

But this you, will do, now that honesty has died.

The failed dreams of quadraplegic ambition and mangled self identifiers,

Leaves you alone with the mirror to face the incessant liars.

The transgressions of thought that questions the me that I am.

Does little to disturb a conscious that doesn’t give a damn.

Along the fogged and weary road mistakes may raise the question, Why!

But as usual you will provide excuse or present an alibi.

The twittered emotions on the web of a tattered mind,

Will bring no peace if that is what you’re trying to find.

Well is it possible I may have touched,

Something left unspoken that should remain as such.

Nothing He Can Do

Posted in poetry on January 28, 2010 by 1markt

The flowing rush of blood makes aware this worried mind,

That trouble is not far and wonders of it, what kind.

The nights are restless and sleep will have no part.

He has no remedy or reason and fear is in his heart.

The burden of grief, seeks relief, but there is no answer there.

To challenge sorrow with some hope is more than just a dare.

When courage looks to confidence for strength there is none to spare.

Pitied fool against himself for all the mistakes he has made.

Pity that time is too short before he meets his grave.

As the rush of blood begins to ease still he has no clue.

About where he is in life or what he should do.

The water’s rising and as it clouds there is nothing he can do.

Trouble is his trouble spot and it’s a place he can not leave,

He can not chart a new  course and for this he must grieve.

Now the sands of time have etched uncertainty across his soul.

It seems that destiny is beyond his control.

The misfortune of suffering from defects that are a part of him.

Keeps reminding him of why he is condemned.

Damned to pain brought on by masochistic lust.

When a man is his own worst enemy who is there to trust.

His beating heart now slows a pace as he thinks it through.

Worry is his lott in life and nothing he can do.

The water’s rising and as it clouds there is nothing he can do.

The Voice of the Tea Party

Posted in 1, Socail commentary on January 20, 2010 by 1markt

It is amazing to me that this group of  apparent illiterates that call themselves the tea party are allowed to spread thier propoganda without ever asking them to really account for thier idiotcy. Now I am not saying this to throw unfounded ridicule, but to suggest that if they were truthfull with themselves and the world, then they would have to point to themselves in the first place and thier policies for driving America into the dirt that they continually bitch about.

First on this list of responsibility is this cry from them about government spending. I find this to be the most laughable aspect of thier campaign. First of all the Bush 43 raised the limits of government spending some twenty times during his tenure in office, without one complaint being heard from them. Then again after thier successes in getting the Bush 43 administration to overlook and take away any guidance from the government on stock manipulation and thugs on Wall Street that put America in the place of being dragged from a country run by checks and balances to a country run by a bunch of thug bankers and advertisers. Along with this comes this ridiculous war with Iraq that only during the Obama administration has been  put on the books. A war in which America had no reason to be in but was manipulated and lied into again by Bush 43.  Right now the cost for this debaucle stands at 4 trillion dollars when a complete accounting is made and that may be short sighted. Meanwhile the roads and bridges for which all of the recent Republican administrations saw no need for has left our infrastructure at the point of barely meeting safety codes. Yet they have waged a  psychological terror campaign on it’s own people with scare tactics to benefit the industrial military complex leading the American people to have been blackmailed and extorted from. Another point of contention that the tea party raises is this objection that the Obama administration is seeking government run health care. Here the point that illeteracy is rampant amongst the tea party is most justified when they encouraged a Medicaid and Medicare new bill under Bush 43, that was a sham at best and cost the average citizen thousands more dollars, but yet not one peep, scream shout or word comes from them on this issue. Either they are extremely ill informed or they really don’t give a damn about what they are saying to begin with.

Let’s probe the issue of why Dick Cheney removed Donald Rumsfeld from head of N.O.R.A.D. on the morning of September 11, 2001 and placed himself over it, during the almost three hours he was over it there was no attempt to send jets to intercept the second plane even after the first had crashed into one tower, nor was any attempt made to scramble or intercept any of the doomed flights that day. How is this possible? Yet this treasanous individual is allowed to comment on putting a nation at risk. He should be hung.

There is also much banter made that Obama is moving towards a socailist agenda. This is more bullshit. The fact is that under Bush 43 there was an out and out attack on the freedoms of the average American through policies such as the patriot act and the infringement by the U.S. government that requires no judges order or anything else to listen to, monitor, bug or track any correspondance or activity you an American citizen may be doing. Yet not one word about or against the President George Bush 43 that did this, from the tea party members. But instead of looking at who is responsible for the real erosion of your rights, it somehow gets attributed to President Obama. Again this shows how ill-informed these people are.

This country was driven in the ground by the Bush administration and the real scope of the pitiful shape that we were in is still being gaurded. We were in a drastic state just months from collapse both financailly and governmentally and to really understand this I guess it may have been best for the illiterates to be standing in the streets fighting for food and water which we were on the brink of. The illiterates that I am referring to are not the uneducated and poor that should have no responsibility for thier conditions but those educated and alledged good Americans who have no excuse for not being able to understand or fail to look for it.

President Obama was and is a principled man and honest and imbued with a sense of what is right and he is doing everything possible to make America a place where ideas and freedom and protection of it’s peoples and liberties  will survive. Make no mistake we were on the brink of collapse and eventually there will be papers published that proves this to be true and instead of attempting to bring the President down the world should thank him and give him instead of rebuke, praise.

There is also the Republican party which keeps talking about bipartisanship but where is thier practice of it.  On the issue of health care President Obama has made 218 amendments and concessions to the Republicans and thier wants. What has the Republican party done except fight against the health care bill and every other legislation and bill that the President has brought forth. Where is thier willingness at bipartisanship.  It doesn’t exist lately and the American people are the ones that are suffering while they  the Republican party and thier pundits ie, Limbaugh, Hannity, Palin, and the Republican Senate have proven to be to the most uncorperative bunch of jerks around.

Sincerely,

Marcus T. Tolbert

No Want for Me and No Need of You

Posted in poetry on November 16, 2009 by 1markt

What do we do now that yesterday is through?

When there’s no want for me and no need of you.

When all that use to be has turned to sad.

And the only feeling is regret about what we had.

I have faced the fact that lost, is the cost of love.

The price is not lessened by what anyone does.

Everything is empty except the pain that we’ve been through.

When there’s no want for me and no need of you.

I’ve fought against all that I wish I forgot.

What remains is the thing, that I have not.

There’s no where to turn or a better view.

When there’s no want for me and no need of you.

We’d do it over if life would be fair.

But there was no answer to that prayer.

There’s not a need to try something new.

When there’s no want for me and no need of you.

Holding on to forever, when nothing is togather.

The make believe in spite of the feelings we bleed.

Doesn’t leave any air that we can breathe.

Looking for a way to salvage a one, from two.

When there’s no want for me and no need of you.

Opposites staring into each other’s gloom.

The way out requires that we leave the room.

Now’s the last act that we’re going to do.

When there’s no want for me and no need of you.

Treason

Posted in poetry on November 11, 2009 by 1markt

I hear a lot of speaches coming from the Republican party about how the Obama administration is driving the American dollar into the ground because, as they put it, runaway spending by the government. Again it is time for examination of facts to show the distortion in these and similar statements.

From the years 1992 through 2000 the United States saw it’s greatest period of economic growth and expansion in the hstory of the country other than post World War II. There was a Democratic President at that time. At the end of his Presidency, America had seen the creation of 17 million to 21 million new jobs created and a government surplus of 400 billion dollars with another 10 years of projected surpluses going forward. America was at peace with all other countries on the world stage and the American dollar was strong. What happened? An idiot was put into the office of President of the United States and as a consequence America has been propelled backwards at least 100 years in economics and the world stage. Our position in the world has been sent back to the 1890’s. We are in two wars  in which there was no reason for one of them, a record debt owed to communist China and the weakest dollar in the history of the country due to it’s debt and the lost of 40 million jobs. Yet if you listen to the Republicans they are dimissive of the real causes and have tried to not in any way be linked to it. This is because they realize how short the short term memory of the masses is and commercials are the driving force of propelling the mind set of America.

In summation America was on the brink of total collapse due to the Republican administration of George W. Bush. The truth that will one day be shown point to the reality that this was a President that at the very least should be prosecuted and hung for treason.

Self and Sin

Posted in 1 on November 10, 2009 by 1markt

The scarlet wound of sorrow is not interested in how,

You may overcome dealing with the now.

The voice of reason will make no noise,

In extolling the redemption of how to avoid,

The pratfalls and pits that selfishness leaves open,

That leaves no way for you to win.

Left alone with self and sin.

The witnesses have all left testimony in which to convict,

You for all the things you thought they would miss.

The scarred ground of sacrifice remains unsanctified.

Leaving no place to run, now that grace has died.

Prosecution will leave no teeth to grin.

Left alone with self and sin.

The eyes of regret swear past too late.

While reminiscing on the things you have come to hate.

The remorse of  soul and conscious that will not keep silent.

Keeps you torn between and your thoughts violent.

It has lasted too long to call it a trend.

Left alone with self and sin.

Like fables that begun with once upon a time.

The moral of the story is something that has escaped your mind.

Though the mistake should be something  that’s easy for you to find.

To do that though you’ve got to claim the crime.

When you go back to where it all begin.

That’s when you find all along, it was just self and sin.

Health Care and Unions

Posted in Socail commentary on November 7, 2009 by 1markt

There is much debate right now between the Democrats and Republicans over the Health Care reform bills that are before the congress. On one side there is the Democratic proponents whom are advocating a reform bill with a public option. On the other hand there is the Republican opposition which continues to point out that the public option will drive Doctors out of business while providing less benefit and raising the cost.

Let’s address how the Republican argument fails. First of all the health care reform will allow an opportunity for 47 million currently uninsured people to have an opportunity to go to a doctor. Now any practicing physician should realize that this is a great windfall for them, for heaven’s sake there are 47 million more people that can now come and see them and they will be paid for it. If you take 47 million and multiply that by $60 which is the minimum amount charged by most Doctors for an office visit, that is 2.82 billion dollars right off the bat. Now take another 500 dollars in lab test and diagnosis that’s another 20 billion dollars. Any doctor that can not see this is too damn inadequate to add and can not be trusted with your health care. The drug companies and American Medical Associatopn have spent in excess of $850 million dollars lobbying against health care in just three months, Why is this? The windfall to pharmaceutical companies will be tremendous because there are potentailly 47 million more people that they can get a minimum of 100 dollars a month more from which is 4.7 billion dollars  a month. It seems they are either too stupid to add themselves, and are more interested in doing as much as possible to insure that needless deaths occur because of denied health care to the detriment of our society’s most vulnerable, the young, the old, and the infirmed. Thier real thought process could be viewed as getting rid of the least productive and eliminating thier liabilities. It is time to look at things as they really are and though the Democratic party can not solve all of America’s ills, they are on this issue much more in line with the needs of all Americans than the Republicans.

Next there is the rant from the right of the defeating impact of unions and how they continue to drive business out of business. This is to be expected from the Republican party which are the lap dogs of big business. They however are not looking at the fact that the reason there is a middle class in America at all is because of the impact of labor unions, that said women and men should have a decent wage and health care. Now, though they raise much hell about the over taxation of unions upon the business world, they don’t raise any opposition to the bankers and wall street that keeps paying these outrageous bonuses to the assholes that ran America into the ground under the guise that if we don’t pay these thieves this type of money they will not work for us and therefore the markets of capitalism will be destroyed. What bullshit. If there was one man or woman involved in a union that got anywhere from 10 to 150 million dollars for 30 years of work please show them to me. Yet these totally incompetent jerks get this type of money for one year of work. How long will this bullshit go on before the truth is alighted.

Lastly, the Republican party keeps making statements that claim this health care reform bill is an attempt by government to take over the health care industry. This is more fear mongering. They say that they do not want to be a country like Canada where you have no right to choose treatment or when you can have a surgery that will extend your life. They should quit distorting the facts and present the facts. Canada is listed as number 3 in the world in terms of the health care that it provides for thier populace as a whole, while America though it spends exceedingly more on health care cost is rated as number 26. Clearly health care under the current dictates and power, mainly the insurance companies, has done an exceedingly poor job in looking after us the American people and it is time that something is done about it. Canada with it’s high rating for health care for it’s citizens should not be held in contempt, but held as an example, because not only has it met and raised the bar in health care it produces it at one third the cost that America does while providing health care that is 4 to 5 times better than that provided to the average American. This Republican party is the same party that oppossed the Social Security systems durring the Roosevelt administrations and it has largely been the greatest success in American government and it is the one agency that is continually raided by the Republican party to pay for it’s war machines, yes it is  care run by the federal government, responsible for keeping those over the age of 65 out of poverty. It is time to put big business in check and let them know that we as Americans don’t give a damn about thier profits at our expense.

Sincerely; 1markt

Remove the Denial

Posted in poetry on September 30, 2009 by 1markt

Seems like anytime would be better than now.

If you tell me to make it better, and then ask me how.

The remedy, that may be, too much for me.

Is the cowards way of seeking reprieve.

The way out of today is to take responsibility for tomorrow.

After all the tubulence, conspiracy and deceit is exposed,

It leaves no room to forget or suppose.

To pose that things could be some other way,

When hatred is here to ruin the day.

When there has been no success in reducing stress.

Since it takes more than plea’s to cure disease.

Attempting to rescue the tattered remains of mind and soul,

When sanity has no position on the totem pole.

One will not fall prey to doing what they are told.

When only the lows exist from which you can fall.

Remove yourself from denial and take the call.

Leave rationalizing and escape where it is at.

Remove the denial and face the fact.

When only the lows exist from which you can fall.

Remove the denial and take the call.

The thin lines that seperate opposing emotions.

Are not seperated by width but definition,

And touching what can not be is an imposition.

When facing the consequence of illicit proposition.

The truth straight up without any cut.

Can deliver the verdict when enough is enough.

Only you can escape from where you are at.

Remove the denial and seperate fiction from fact.

When there is only the lows from which you can fall.

Remove the denial and take the call.

Gray Skies and Wet Earth

Posted in poetry on September 23, 2009 by 1markt

Gray skies and wet earth;

Gray thoughts as mind gives birth;

To ideas that center around what exist between you, me and others.

The discontent that was not meant to alleviate what it suffers.

The happenstance of circumstance, and what it may uncover.

I refuse to lose to doubts about, if our love is still assessing life.

As the pressure tightens about my cranial girth,

Blending with gray skies and wet earth.

But hope remains behind these eyes,

That will not believe the lies.

At what double mindedness in its constant tries.

To bring me down and make me realize,

That what lives always dies.

At time pleasure from pain seems so perverse,

When watching gray skies and wet earth.

To think of shared ties that hold and bind,

Wishing that the past would be so kind.

To overlook or be just blind,

To anything that it might find,

That would defeat our love during the test of time.

Am I alone in these thoughts of hurt,

That roam gray skies and wet earth.

Try as I might to reach out today,

To grasp a ray that may come my way.

Left to feel like vulnerable sudden prey,

Emminent dismemberment while I lay,

Of the wants and needs I hold so close,

Of the one dream I’ve dreamt the most.

Shattered to fall all is worst,

When wishing under gray skies and wet earth.

I feel at times you will never  know the need I’ve known for you,

Or appreciate, how I appreciate, the things we’ve been through.

Having endured so much of variance between up and down.

Proving that during rough water, love has not drowned,

And it endures the taxes and troubles that pound.

In the time line continuum of this universe,

It goes on past gray skies and wet earth.

Time For Examination “Divided We Fall”

Posted in Socail commentary on September 19, 2009 by 1markt

In today’s world with the rampaging sentiments of the far right and thier idiot spokesmen like Rush Limbaugh and Sean Hannity, to intelligently come to some defining judgments about them, it becomes a necessity to examine thier motives and more importantly the results of what is to become of thier idiotcy.

In the 1960’s there arose group of black activist called the Black Panther Party, that firmly confronted America by saying that if you are willing to kill a Black individual you are going to die for it. This in a society that by and large had never felt that taking a black person’s life was of  any consequence and certainly exempt from prosecution. The call went forth that justice would be delivered by the hand that was being slaughtered. This gripped white America and the inhabitants of the cities with fear and to a real extent that if America was going to survive, then there would have to be some reform of American society as a whole.

The white majority of the far right are essentailly the reason and in fact the cause and perpetrators of the assassination of President John F. Kennedy. Call it as it is.

The pattern of thought that leads a white person, to believe that it is thier God-ordained right to rape, pillage and plunder and every contemptable act to God’s law is an action of God is so ridiculous that only an idiot would give it creedance. This unfortunately is the thinking of the European world which has always sent in it’s mercenaries  with it’s missionaries beginning with Constantine the Serbian that ruled the Roman empire.

The Spainish, French, Portugese, Italians, and of course the Germans and English as well as Scotts, have since thier histories begun to be written always sent in the crucifix before thier war wagons, much as George H. W. Bush and his father before him did in Iraq. It is amazing that the same bullshit that enslaved the world then, is still being perpetuated and allowed to happen today. How many times can and will the same lie be told and fallen for.

It is so absurd that the poor uneducated white person can believe that Rockerfeller.and yourselves have anything in common or that he would actually be interested in what is of concern to you. The truth of the matter is that you are on the same level of contempt as an average black person. Let’s face it, there is one conflict that is universal and that is  that of the have’s vs the have not’s. The one thing that must occur for the have’s to keep with, is that the have not’s must be divided. There is a reason that old sayings remain relevant and that is that they are based on truth. Therefore  ”united we stand, divided we fall” is something that those who have, never take for granted nor do they disregard and they are constantly united to make sure that the rest of us are divided. For it is also true that “there is strength in numbers” Limbaugh and Hannity are but puns for those that really have power.

First of all do you really think that it is the poor masses of the misguided that are paying Rush Limbaugh over 5o million dollars a year. Please! The people who pay Limbaugh are the real power brokers of the world. Rupert Murdoch that owns so much of media including over 1100 am radio stations,Wall Street Journal, and Fox Television, and People and what better way is there to controll and persuade other than radio, television and print. Ask yourselves this, why was Rupert Murdoch allowed to have such controll over all forms of media, though it violates the laws of fair doctrine. It’s because that those with real power made this law to be overlooked so that his media empire could be used to create and institute division. The oldest theory of war is that of divide and conquer. Do you really think that a man that is so smart  in accomplishing what he has, is stupid enough to believe the things and theories his puppets like Limbaugh, Hannity, Mark Levin, and Savage, and Drudge are expounding. If you do then perhaps any attempt to enlighten you is a wasted effort. The point is this that there is a much bigger picture here. When Bush 41 put forth before the people his talk of a New World Order, have you really asked yourself what this means. Bill Clinton on the alledged other side of the aisle, stated many times his belief in a New World Order. Ask yourself how is it that two different men who have are who are suppose to have such differences in political theory could be advocating the same doctrines. Here is another question for you? Do you realize that North America in the very near future will be operating as one government with an arranged alliance that is already in place with Mexico and Canada. Have you asked yourselves why or how would this country allows 25 million illegal aliens be here and accomondated as they have been. If you have read the book 1984 this is the blue print that the New World Order is about. Three great powers rule the world. Eurasia, Norasia and another. With the formation of the European Common Market and it common currency the Euro, Eurasia already exist. The Nafta Act and a secret document has virtually eliminated the borders between Mexico and Canada, not to mention the Super Highway Corridor which wiil be a tollway from deep in Mexico through Texas and Oaklahoma all the way to the Canadian border. While this needless and senseless bickering is taking place between the right and left, conservative and liberal, black and white, black and brown, gays and straight. The New World Order is being instituted and we are too stupid to realize there is a much bigger and more sinister plan being resurrected and instituted. If we could stop fighting over minute differences and recognize the right to live as free humans with elected officails who act upon and for the will of the people, then this type of atrocity which is happening daily before our very eyes would have no way to fester. How long are we going to allow the bullshit to go on, before we make those at the top of business and government accountable and not allow just any lie to be sprouted but make them acoount with a severity that will make them think twice. For treason is a crime punishable by death and those that are forcing this New World Order are committing treason.

America now is the time to be united like never before, if we are to survive. It is time to cut the strings on the puppets and burn the puppet masters, for the show they are putting on disgust us and insults us. Now is the time to really wake up and smell the coffee and realize our own humanity towards each other and destroy those who are out to destroy it.

We can not allow ourselves to be played by the puppet masters and our dignity to be sold and enslaved. In short “United We Stand, Divided We Fall”

The third great power will be the countries of the Middle East. Russia and China. These alliances will come about not because of great animosity but great greed and great ignorance that we were too blind to recognize it when it was happening before our very eyes. It is the distraction of division that the puppet masters keep before the people to keep them sightless. Think about it.

Lastly I will say one line. There is much more about 911 than is 411 at present.
